State Library to Offer Free Health & Wellness Resources Class

Join us on Wednesday, October 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for this free hands-on class to find reliable resources for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  The resources will range from websites for consumer health materials to research sites with statistics on diseases, risks, morbidity and mortality, both on a national level and county level in South Carolina.  Several Discus (South Carolina's Virtual Library) databases will be highlighted.

South Carolina State Library Announces Free Fall 2013 Grants Information Classes

The South Carolina State Library is pleased to announce two fall classes that are free and open to state employees, library staff and the public. 

Grants Research: Finding a Funder for Your Nonprofit Organization - This class helps nonprofit organizations locate information on grants available from private foundations and corporations using the State Library’s electronic and print resources:  September 27 or November 13, 9:30 a.m. - noon.

Proposal Writing Basics - This class will focus on what needs to be included in all your grant proposals:  October 18 or December 4, 9:30 a.m. - noon.
