StoryfestSC 2013 is June 1st

The Friends of the Richland County Public Library recognized Christie Zimmerman Fant with the Lucy Hampton Bostick Award at its Annual Meeting on Sunday, September 9. The annual award is presented to a South Carolina author, someone who has written a significant literary work on South Carolina or someone in the Midlands who has advanced interest in books or libraries.

Now that school has started, students should be prepared to know where to go on the web to find the best information. It’s DISCUS – South Carolina’s Virtual Library that is a service of the South Carolina State Library and is the “information place” for all South Carolinians.

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and the Lee County Public library wants to make sure that your child is among the two-thirds of Americans that carry the smartest card of all – a library card.
