PALMCOP Hands-On Disaster Recovery Workshop

Every collection is susceptible to damage from water – whether from floods, hurricanes, burst pipes, or from structural leaks. This hands-on workshop will give participants information regarding salvage of affected collections and experience in recovery of waterlogged materials. This workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at the Clemson University Libraries’ Depot (offsite facility), Clemson Research Park, 103 Clemson Research Blvd., Anderson, SC 29625, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Registration is now open for the Powering Up: Inclusive Services Summit.  This daylong summit will provide a learning experience to prepare attendees for planning and implementing services for differently-able library customers. Attendees will explore new developments in assistive technology, adaptive materials and resources, and techniques for assisting and interacting with people having any of a broad range of conditions that make the utilization of library resources and services challenging.

2016 PR & Marketing Exchange

Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2016 PR & Marketing Exchange! Join us for a day filled with great PR ideas for libraries of all types. You will hear from library staff members responsible for getting the word out about their library’s programs and special events. Please bring 20-30 copies of successful brochures, handouts, bookmarks, or other PR materials to share with other attendees. We will have a PR Swap table set up in the meeting room for this purpose. Registration fee: $10.
