There's an App for this: The Constitution


The Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, the Library of Congress and the Government Printing Office (GPO) marked Constitution Day (September 17, 2013) by launching a new app and web publication that make analysis and interpretation of constitutional case law by Library experts accessible for free to anyone with a computer or mobile device.

State Library to Offer Free Health & Wellness Resources Class


Join us on Wednesday, October 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for this free hands-on class to find reliable resources for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The resources will range from websites for consumer health materials to research sites with statistics on diseases, risks, morbidity and mortality, both on a national level and county level in South Carolina.

Come celebrate Boiled Peanut Day at the State Farmers Market in West Columbia on August 25! The SC Dept of Agriculture announces an event in the August Market Bulletin as part of a month-long celebration of farmers and the 5th anniversary of the Certified South Carolina Grown Summer Celebration. The give-away will take place between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm or while supplies last.

Certified Public Manager Projects For 2012 Available


Final projects for the 2012 Certified Public Manager program graduates have been received in the State Library and are available to view in the library. These projects are the culmination of the program administered by the Office of Human Resources of the Budget and Control Board. The projects will be added to the Digital Collections of the State Library and available soon.
