The South Carolina State Library will announce the selection of the most notable 2010 South Carolina State Government Documents at a ceremony to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16. Certified Public Manager projects for 2010 are now available online.

Project reports from the recent graduates of the Certified Public Manager program are now being processed and will be available in SCLENDS, the online catalog of the State Library. New FTP site for document deposits!

SCSL has set up an FTP site for easier deposit of agency documents.

FTP (file transfer protocol) is a standard Internet protocol, and the simplest way to exchange files between computers on the Internet. Like the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), which transfers displayable Web pages and related files, and the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), which transfers e-mail, FTP is an application protocol that uses the Internet's TCP/IP protocols.

Librarians to Offer Training

Library Services Librarians of the State Library have three classes which are open to state employees, to library staff and to the public: "State Government Information," "Grants Research: Finding a Funder for Your Nonprofit Organization," and "BOOKS, Books and more Books! SC LENDS & Safari Books Online."
