Plan, provide, and supervise reference and readers' advisory services to library patrons and staff. Participate in collection development. Coordinate and conduct programs and specialized services for adult patrons including some local history and genealogy. Teach various computer classes and assist patrons with equipment and electronic devices. Interpret library policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service. Required to work some evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays. Will provide assistance in Historical Room helping patrons with basic genealogy and local history questions.
Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited college or university. Valid driver's license. Professional Librarian Certification from the SC State Library or willing to earn this.
