LIBRARIAN BRANCH MANAGER/BLUFFTON: Under minimal supervision, is responsible for the efficient running of the physical plant and service operations of a large branch of the Beaufort County Library. This includes responsibility for hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff; analyzing and preparing justifications for personnel, operating and capital line item requests for the annual departmental County budget; preparing supplementary budget requests to the Friends of the Library and other granting agencies; and working in a cooperative team relationship with the administration staff to ensure county-wide development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures and to solve management problems. SALARY: $56,222 annually
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Masters of Library/Information Science from an accredited institution.
• Six (6) years professional library experience in public service areas.
• Two (2) years management and supervisory experience.
• Eligibility for South Carolina Public Library Certification.
• Must possess and maintain valid driver’s license.
• Computer proficiency
