The Union County Carnegie Library serves as a community hub in Union, SC. The library is involved in the Public Health Indicators Taskforce and partners with SC Works, United Way, and the Union County School District to provide literacy services for the community. As our VISTA, you will assess and develop a program to improve literacy rates, allowing residents to further their education and advance their careers. You will also seek out funding, collaborative partnerships, and volunteers to assist with program implementation. This is an AmeriCorps position through Piedmont United Way. Must be 18 years of age or older. Bachelor's degree or higher. Fluent in written and spoken English. Basic technology skills.
