• Select and weed media content for all ages in a variety of formats including DVD, Blu-ray feature films, nonfiction, video games, music, and digital, streaming and on-demand offerings • Analyze and promote performance of collections using indicators including floating collections, circulation data, displays, and marketing tools • Monitor all on-demand expenditures of streaming products such as hoopla and Kanopy • Monitor multimedia holds across all formats, filling physical holds with on-demand content where possible • Coordinate with marketing department to share relevant media related announcements with patrons through traditional and social media marketing efforts SALARY: $40,500 minimum yearly and generous benefits package
• MLIS degree from an ALA accredited university and knowledge of collection development principles and practices • Dedicated interest in pop culture and knowledge of adaptations across various media formats • Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within entertainment and educational media • General knowledge of professional library procedures, methods and techniques including cataloging, circulation, and accounting functions in library automation systems • Knowledge of ILS systems, especially data reporting and analysis tools such as Polaris Simply Reports and CollectionHQ • Excellent ability to communicate in writing and orally and ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and vendors • Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive to library branch locations
