Salary Range: $38,957 Full Time Close Date: 3/1/2018 5:00 PM Under limited supervision, provides professional assistance to library patrons of all ages throughout the County who have reference needs at all levels of complexity on a multitude of subjects. Develops specific reading lists and provides guidance in the use of reference materials for all branches. Provides direct assistance to patrons and performs circulation duties as necessary. Reports to Branch Librarian.
Position Minimum Requirements: Masters degree in library science from a college or University accredited by the American Library Association, supplemented by one (1) or two (2) years of reference and public service experience in a public library; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Applicants who have enrolled in an ALA accredited MLS degree program, and have completed or enrolled in at least half the classes necessary to complete the degree, will be considered so long as they have at least one year of public library employment.
