Colleton County Government is accepting applications for the position of Systems &Technology Services Librarian for the Colleton County Memorial Library.
The successful candidate will under limited supervision plan, develop, implement, operate and maintain the Library’s automated systems and services. Will plan, coordinate and conduct technology services throughout the library system. Will also perform managerial duties related to technology services. Will participate in short and long range planning for technology and general library services; will coordinate activities with other library staff and patrons; and will assist patrons in the selection and use of library materials and electronic resources.
Requires a Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited university or college and three (3) years experience with technology in a public library setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated strong abilities with Microsoft software, Windows and NT server software. Attends appropriate continuing education workshops and conferences. Required to read professional journals to remain abreast of development in the profession.
