Preferred Experience:

Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of experience with web content and design. 

Creates, formats and updates web content; approves changes made by web content management system (CMS) users; updates web pages to assure that all information and links are up to date and accurate; ensures that the website meets current professional web standards and is utilizing the most effective technologies. Coordinates content updates. Provides webpage analytical reports for departments monthly; assures consistent look and feel throughout the website. 

Trains and assists CMS users to utilize systems for providing general information for the website.

Creates, maintains, and distributes training materials.  

Manages social media accounts; creates and posts content promoting Library brand, services, and programs.

Writes news releases for dissemination to the media, responds to new media request and acts as liaison as needed. Handles sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Serves as Library System photographer and videographer.

Collaborates with Marketing and Administrative staff.

Creates print marketing materials as needed.

Reviews current web and procedures to assure that the most effective and reasonably priced technologies and resources available are being used; seeks out new resources/technologies. Liaison to related vendors.

Requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle and a valid Driver's License.

Education:

Associates degree with 1-3 years of experience with web content and design.
