The State Library is cooperating with the South Carolina Department of Commerce in announcing the Draft 2011-2015 Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development.
The Department of Commerce (DOC), as the designated lead agency for the State, has prepared the Plan to satisfy the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) statutory requirements for South Carolina to receive funding for the four HUD programs: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships, Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA). DOC is making the plan public and has established a 30-day comment period for the public to respond to the plan. There will also be an online public forum and a public hearing to obtain input on the 2011-2015 Consolidated Plan.
The online public forum will be held on January 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm. January 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Columbia, SC at the SC Department of Commerce, 1201 Main Street, 15th Floor Presentation Center. A copy of the plan, the executive summary, and the memo can be obtained at the agency website.
