How to safely observe the total solar eclipse

The South Carolina State Library is pleased to promote safe viewing practices for the August 21, 2017 Total Solar Eclipse by providing FREE ISO certified solar glasses to SC residents, beginning Monday June 26, 2017.

To receive your free eclipse glasses, please visit the Library at 1500 Senate Street in downtown Columbia during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Limit two per individual. For more information, call 803-734-8026 or email reference@statelibrary.sc.gov
