John’s Island Regional Book Sale Set for July 24 & 25

Book lovers and bargain hunters are in for a real treat when the Charleston Friends of the Library host its annual John’s Island Regional Book Sale.  With great bargains, good books and a chance to support your library system, all are in invited to this free event held on Friday, July 24 & Saturday, July 25 at the John’s Island Regional Library located at 3531 Maybank Highway, Charleston, SC 29455.

 

WHO: The Charleston Friends of the Library is a nonprofit volunteer organization that supports and advocates for the Charleston County Public Library system.  We raise money to fund more than 6,000 programs sponsored annually by the library, including Resume Workshops, Summer Reading, the Met Opera Series, and more.  One of the ways in which we raise funds is through our annual book sales.

WHAT: Books, DVDs, and CDs, will be available with prices starting at $1 for paperbacks and $3 for hardback books. Items include mysteries, romances, classics, children’s books, local histories, cookbooks and a variety of non-fiction topics. Children’s books start at just $0.50 each.

WHEN:

  • Friday, July 24 from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 25 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Admission is free Friday and Saturday.
  • A special event for Friends of the Library members will be held at the branch, Thursday evening, July 23 from 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
