The Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) selected Meadow Glen Middle Sixth-Grade Social Studies Teacher and House Leader Albert Robertson to serve on the 2015–2016 Education Advisory Committee.
New enhancements make it easier than ever for state residents of all ages to use Discus – South Carolina’s Virtual Library. SmartSearch, the tool that allows researchers to conduct a single search and retrieve information from numerous electronic resources in the Discus collection, is now powered by EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS).
Newsweek, the 80-year old weekly news magazine, announced in October 2012 that it would cease publication of its print magazine in favor of an all-digital format. The last print edition of Newsweek was made available with the December 31st issue.
LYRASIS recently announced a collaboration with the South Carolina State Library and Discus, South Carolina's Virtual Library, to provide a customized online collection of current resources for job seekers in the state.
