Free Legislation Tracking Class in Greenville

What's going on in government? Many of us have a renewed interest in government and want to be informed on legislation and our legislators. Tracking Legislation is a 2 hour class designed to familiarize users with ways to keep up with the process of legislation.

WHERE: Greenville Public Library, 25 Heritage Green Place.
WHEN: Saturday, October 26, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Presenter: Elaine Sandberg, South Carolina State Library information services librarian.

Attendees will explore resources to find and contact legislators, track bills, and election resources for both South Carolina and the U.S. We will also use the South Carolina Legislative Research website (scstatehouse.gov), for state information, Congress.gov, and other sites for federal resources.

Attendees will also explore resources for locating county and city administrative contacts, and using the Discus resources to keep up with news. This session is for anyone who may be interested in particular laws or bills on a state or federal level.

Registration is required. For more information and registration, please call Lee Ehlers at the Greenville Public Library 864-527-9219.
