Governor Haley Announces Book Drive

Governor Nikki Haley, The Original Six Foundation's Board of Directors, AT&T and the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles announced a statewide book drive to benefit children from rural counties at the Richland Library Eastover on Monday, July 29, at 9:30 AM. The Original Six Foundation's statewide book drive will be collecting gently used or new children's and South Carolina history books. The public can donate books in collection boxes at all 67 DMVs across South Carolina from August 5 through August 17. The books will be donated to libraries, schools, and after school programs in the rural counties that The Original Six Foundation serves. The Original Six Foundation is currently working in conjunction with Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Clarendon, Marion, Marlboro, and Union counties.
