Laurens County Library to Host Tourism Fair

For one evening only, June 7, 2012, from 5:30 -8, the Laurens County Library will host the Chamber of Commerce's first ever Laurens County Tourism Fair.

There will be six stations, or booths, representing each of the six areas of tourism Laurens Chamber recognizes: Lodging, Dining, Shopping, Recreation, History, and Arts.

Each station will be using flyers, signs, brochures, business cards, etc. to promote that particular aspect of tourism in Laurens County. Each station will be manned by representatives who can explain what that particular area of tourism offers in Laurens County. While at the stations, visitors can get a card punched and, having visited all stations, can then enter the card for drawings/door prizes. The door prizes are being donated by the businesses and organizations participating in the tourism fair.

Everyone is encouraged to visit the library on Thursday, June 7, from 5:30 - 8 PM and learn about the fantastic things that Laurens County has to offer its residents and especially its visitors.

For more information, contact the Laurens County Library at 864-681-READ (7323).
