Three new collections offer digital access to political speeches, photographs, government reports - The South Carolina State Library added three new digital collections to the South Carolina Digital Library database on August 22, providing online access to over 19,000 historical documents. SCSL staff members spent six years digitizing the documents, pulling items from its book collections, South Carolina State Document Depository and South Carolina Federal Document Collection. Members of the public can now access digital versions of political speeches, governmental records from over 150 state agencies, natural history reports and other items important to South Carolina's cultural history. The SCSL's digital collections will also be accessible through the Digital Public Library of America on a future date. To access the new collections, click here.
