State Library Helping a Family in Need

SCSL staff members with gifts

Each year, the staff of the South Carolina State Library partners with Palmetto Health’s Holiday, Helpings and Hope program to provide gifts to a family in need. The program supports cancer and blood disorder patients and their families. This year, many gifts were delivered to one such family in need.

According to Acting Director, Leesa Benggio, “We are happy and humbled to be a part of this wonderful program, which aids families in transition. Libraries are an integral part of their communities, and aiding those locally is part of our commitment to South Carolina, especially during times of need.”

Pictured (L-R) are State Library staff members Debbie Anderson, Administrative Coordinator, Danielle Woodard, Accountant/Fiscal Analyst, Leesa Benggio, Acting Director, Jessica Dame, Metadata Librarian, and Paula James, Director of Finance and Administration.
