State Library Welcomes Three New Staff Members

The South Carolina State Library is pleased to welcome three staff members.

Jessica Dame, metadata librarian in the Information Services department, creates and maintains metadata for digitized and born-digital content for access through the State Library's digital management system. Most recently, she was metadata librarian at the Georgetown University Lauinger library in Washington, D.C., and interned with the Smithsonian's Archives of American Gardens.

Rachel Driggers is the newest reader advisor for Talking Book Services where she assists blind and visually impaired patrons across the state. She is currently enrolled in the University of South Carolina School of Library and Information Science (USC SLIS) master's program, and was previously employed at the Richland Library Blythewood as an associate.

Kristi Sligh, continuing education consultant in the Library Development department, assists libraries statewide by providing and coordinating library-related training opportunities. She graduated with a master's degree from USC SLIS in 2005 and was the youth services librarian at Richland Library Sandhills.
