Summer Reading at Talking Book Services

Mark your Calendars! Talking book, large print, and Braille readers, ages pre-school through teen are invited to register for the Talking Book Services' Summer Reading Program.

The theme for children ages pre-school through 12 is “Get a Clue @ Your Library.” Pre-schoolers may use “Read-to-Me-Buddies” such as Moms, Dads, siblings, or friends.

This year, teens ages 13 and up are invited to register for the library’s Summer Reading Program.  The theme for teens is “YNK @Your Library.” YNK is popular shorthand for “You Never Know.”

All summer readers are invited to the library’s Awards Party on July 27th.   Come and enjoy storytelling, sing-alongs, and get a special gift.

Even children who can’t attend the party will be recognized for their reading efforts with certificates, and a special reading souvenir that will be mailed to them.

How do you join in on all the fun?  Fill out the registration form and return it to the library.  We’ll send you a reading log to keep track of the books you read May 7th – July 13th.  Then, return your list of books read to us by July 14th and that’s it!

So join us, read some books, come to our party, have some fun and get some great stuff too!  We hope to see you on July 27th at 11:00am!

For more information, call 803-734-4611 or 800-922-7818, or email your registration information to us at tbsbooks@statelibrary.sc.gov .

Please complete the registration form today so we may send your Summer Reading log!
