Union Friends Donates $5,000

The renovation, restoration, and completion of the Union County Carnegie Library is $5,000 closer to reality thanks to the efforts of the Friends of the Library.

In a statement released Monday, Library Director Ben Loftis announced that the FOL had donated $5,000 to the Library Renovation Project which will “Renovate, Restore, and Complete” the library.

Debby Green, President of the Friends of the Library, stated “the library is one of Union’s most essential resources. The Friends are pleased to donate to the renovation project and encourage other civic organizations and individuals to consider donating to such a worthy endeavor.”

Loftis was appreciative of the gift from the Friends.
