State Library Seeks State Agency Social Media Library Participants

The South Carolina State Library is seeking state government agency participation in the South Carolina State Agency Social Media Library (scsocialmedialibrary.org), which provides public access to social media activity from partner South Carolina state agencies.

The South Carolina State Library is collaborating with ArchiveSocial (archivesocial.com), a social media archiving company based in Durham, NC to create this searchable library.

Social media streams currently include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube content created or received by seven state government agencies, including the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Department of Commerce.

Through this service, users will be able to search across agencies and social media platforms to find social media content. State government agency participants will be eligible for monitoring and alerts on content. State government agencies wishing to participate in the project will be asked to sign a memorandum of understanding.

For more information, please contact Amanda Stone, Digital Projects Supervisor at 803-734-4816 or astone@statelibrary.sc.gov.
