"I'm really excited to be able to serve the citizens of Union County," Mr. Loftis said. "The Carnegie Library has a great history and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of it. It is my hope that the library can continue to be a valuable resource for the county and can identify new ways to serve our patrons."
Since 2009, Mr. Loftis has been employed by the Spartanburg County Public Library at the Middle Tyger and Woodruff branches. He is a graduate of Clemson University, and received a Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina in 2010.
UCCL Board of Trustees Chair Jennifer Tazerouti commented, "Mr. Loftis brings enthusiasm for working with the entire community and has a reputation for consistently going the extra mile.
