The Calhoun County Library will be hosting a special “Hive Warming Party” in celebration of housing the 189th installed bee hive given by The Bee Cause Project. The project seeks to stimulate curiosity in young people about the natural world by giving them an intimate experience with one of the world’s greatest pollinators. The program includes artwork presentations from County schools, a “Bee Dance” choreographed by Jean Reid and speeches delivered by key personnel. The event will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m. For more information, please contact Brandon Britt, Calhoun County Library Public Relations Coordinator at bbritt@calhouncountylibrary.org or (803) 614-6034.
