Please join us on December 10, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., for a virtual book talk with acclaimed photographer Cecil J. Williams who is well known for his documentation of many important events of the Civil Rights Movement that took place in South Carolina. Mr. Williams will discuss his book Unforgettable: 1950-1970: celebrating a time of life hope and bravery that is the inspiration for the Unforgettable traveling exhibit currently on display at the Sumter County Museum. The State Library will be supporting the South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum's American Revolution Day. More American Revolution battles/skirmishes were fought in South Carolina than in any other state. Everyone has something to learn from the conflict that founded our country; the Relic Room’s full day of programs will offer something for everyone.
