SALARY: $48,734.90
This full-time Learning and Innovation Librarian III position is located at the Headquarters Library and is responsible for meaningful implementation and management of maker and STEM/STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, math/Science, technology engineering arts and math) spaces and technologies for the library system. The position asks for an enthusiastic, creative individual to serve as a catalyst to improve access to library resources, technology and services through strategic project management, staff training, suggested organizational development strategies and other initiatives as needed.
• Oversees the implementation and management of maker and STEM/STEAM equipment and technology to highlight mission-specific learning outcomes and experiences for staff and citizens.
• Develops instructional materials as needed for the education of STEM/STEAM products, software, and safety.
• Maintains the library department’s learning management system and training methods by creating training events and courses in a variety of formats and in consultation with subject matter experts, creating surveys and documenting staff participation in training.
• Facilitates professional development for technology-infused programs and services.
• Leads the work of the Innovation and eResources Team, with the Division Manager for Collection Development and Technology Innovation.
• Researches, pursues, shares, promotes, and participates in grant application opportunities for the library to increase its Innovation program (initiative) funding.
• Supports staff with technology issues as they arise and assists as needed with the troubleshooting of technology issues related to instructional delivery.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Library Science, or other related field and two (2) years of training/educating adult learners; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Public Library experience preferred.
