Discus Adds New Databases

New resources to kick off a brand new year! The Discus program is pleased to begin 2008 with some great additions to its lineup of high quality databases.

The following new Gale resources are now available:

  • Book Review Index Online Plus
    Educator's Reference Complete
    History Resource Center: World
    LitFinder
    Nursing Resource Center
    Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center
    Science Resource Center
    Small Business Resource Center

Amazing Animals of the World, a new Grolier database designed specifically for elementary age children, has recently become available through Discus as well.

All of these products provide valuable content for school, college and public library users in South Carolina.  They have been added to the Discus collection as a result of database evaluations and contract renewal negotiations -- at no additional cost to South Carolina citizens!

For schools and public libraries, these resources are easily accessible from the Discus home page .  State employees may access these and other electronic resources from the State Library's Online Resources page . For home access for all other citizens, please contact your local public library .

Take a look today and begin using these newest additions to the Discus collection.
