The South Carolina Emergency Management Division, which leads the state emergency management program by supporting local authorities to minimize the loss of life and property from all-hazard events, published its annual hurricane guide. The 2024 South Carolina Hurricane Guide provides comprehensive information to South Carolina residents about hurricane preparation, hurricane mitigation, insurance topics, alert systems, evacuation information (pet care, evacuation routes, shelter locations), and hurricane evacuation zones. The informational value of this publication makes it our choice for the September 2024 featured state publication.

The complete list of September electronic South Carolina state publications is available. The South Carolina Digital State Documents Depository provides electronic access to state agency publications. These publications provide citizens with crucial information about state government and include statistics, reports, and data on a wide variety of topics related to the state.

February 11, 2026, 5:30 PM

Join us at the next installment of the Speaker at the Center with Author Patricia Brandon where she will discuss her historical fiction novel, "Rise of the Pale Moon."
