Administrative Assistant, Minimum Salary: $37,735 per year, Gregg-Graniteville Library at USCA
Directs, plans, and coordinates routine/standard administrative activities in the Office of the Dean of the Library. Utilize computers and software, including Microsoft Office Suite and PeopleSoft, to support daily operations and special projects. Exercise sound judgment in interpreting and applying established library and university policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and operational consistency. Operate independently, managing time-sensitive tasks and prioritizing responsibilities to effectively meet library and university goals. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of office management practices, including scheduling, record-keeping, procurement, and financial management, such as processing and tracking library bills. Collect, assemble, and present information in a clear and usable format for reports, event coordination, budgeting, and operational planning. Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor with library staff, students, faculty, and external stakeholders. Organize and coordinate events and programming logistics, including workshops, academic programs, and student success initiatives. Foster positive and effective working relationships with colleagues, university departments, and the general constituencies of the library and Student Success Center. The ability to adapt to the library’s evolving needs, including support for new initiatives such as the library’s expanded role in overseeing the Student Success Center. A strong commitment to maintaining operational stability and providing exceptional service to the USCA community. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED and 1 or more years of job related experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma and 4 years clerical or administrative experience.
