State Librarian to Receive Award

David Goble, Director of the South Carolina State Library, will be presented with the USC School of Library and Information Science's John N. Olsgaard Distinguished Service Award. This award recognizes an individual who has made exceptional contributions to the School.

Previous award winners include Rep. Lanny F. Littlejohn, Rep. Gilda Cobb-Hunter, and James B. Johnson (former State Librarian).

The award will be presented at the USC School of Library and Information Science Deans' and Director's Lecture on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at 7:00 PM in the Thomas Cooper Library -- Ernest Hollings Special Collections program room.
