State Library Welcomes New Staff Members

The South Carolina State Library is pleased to announce two new staff members.

Bill Croteau, IT Director, comes to the SC State Library from public service in the State of California and formerly technology consulting in Charleston, SC. He has over 20 years of information technology leadership experience beginning as a cryptologist in the United States Navy and has extensive experience at the director level with enterprise class information systems. Pamela Hoppock, Library Development Consultant, has worked in libraries for the past ten years. Pamela has served as Library Director, Computer Instructor, and Assistive Technology Director at Glenforest School in West Columbia. Pamela also gives presentations to community groups and helps facilitate discussions regarding bullying and cyberbullying. She earned her MLIS from USC where she developed The Bookshelf Project, now in its third year. This literacy initiative has officially given over 12,000 books to impoverished families and organizations serving underserved children.
