The South Carolina State Library is pleased to offer a free series of webinars in the fall for library staff and the general public. South Carolina Government Bit by Bit is a series of webinars delving into the websites of state government agencies to find information, resources and publications that provide answers to questions about South Carolina and its government. Information about useful print resources will also be included. Each webinar will run for an hour or less and include a handout of links to important resources highlighted and described in each session.
July 24, 11:00 a.m. Leisure and Hospitality. Explore the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism and the Department of Natural Resources websites. We'll review the many resources available to aid visitors and residents explore, relax, hunt, fish, and hike in our state, and documentation to show why the industries thrive.
August 21, 11:00 a.m. Agriculture and Forestry. Learn about the important industries that impact South Carolina's economy, health, education and demographics.
September 11 and 25, 11:00 a.m. Legislative Resources Parts 1 & 2. Explore SCStatehouse.gov and related websites for information on elected officials, current and past legislative reports, laws, and other publications.
October 9, 11:00 a.m. Reports and Analyses. Learn about the various commissions, boards, and organizations in South Carolina that regularly provide reports and analyses or audits of government activities.
November 19, 11:00 a.m. Trade and Transportation. Explore the South Carolina state government agencies involved in maintaining our state's important trade and transportation network.
