Colleton County Government is accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Assistant Extension Librarian for the Colleton County Memorial Library. The successful candidate will assist the Extension Librarian with providing bookmobile and library station services. Will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and operations of the bookmobile. Will drive bookmobile on regularly scheduled routes, and perform general circulation duties. Will perform related functions such as maintaining records, registering/assisting patrons, selecting books and preparing notices. Will work with and assist the Extension Librarian with providing programming to the community.
MINIMUM HOURLY RATE: $14.00

Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts and three (3) to five (5) years of public library experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license (submit 3-year driving record) and possess proficient computer skills. Pre-employment drug screen and a satisfactory background check are also required.
