Job Description

1. PUBLIC SERVICES

  • Provide daily reference, circulation and related library services in person, by phone and online
  • Conduct class instruction on all campuses in a variety of formats
  • Provide support and training for staff at the County Campus Learning Resource Centers
  • Support faculty with their class assignments, collection needs, research and faculty training

2. TECHNICAL SERVICES

  • Create and maintain acquisitions records for books and all other cataloged materials in the integrated library system (ExLibris)
  • Develop online services and resources such as videos and online subject guides

3. GENERAL DUTIES

  • Assist with planning, budgeting, reporting and assessment as needed
  • Assist in identifying resources to purchase in accordance with collection development policies
  • Identify materials for removal based on library weeding policies
  • Serve on Library Advisory Committee and other groups at the college, local and state levels
Qualifications

Graduate degree in library and information science required. Prefer two (2) years of experience, preferably in an academic library setting. Should have a strong desire to build solid work experience in many areas of the library.
