Colleton County Government is accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Reference Librarian/ Adult Services Programmer for Colleton County Memorial
Library.
The successful candidate will under general supervision plan and conduct
reference services throughout the library system. Will provide professional assistance to library patrons who have reference needs and perform a variety of other duties including training staff and patrons in the use of reference and electronic resources, recommending
reference materials, maintaining the vertical file, handling the Interlibrary Loan function of the library, and maintaining the Reference and SC Room.
Will also plan and coordinate all adult programming for the main library.
GRADE: 9
HOURLY PAY RATE: $18.85 to $23.20 (DOQ) FULL-TIME
SC STATE INSURANCE & RETIREMENT
A Bachelor’s degree with concentration in liberal arts and one to three years of public library
experience is required (Master’s degree in Librarianship preferred with one to three
years of public library experience); or any equivalent combination of education and experience that
provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Pre-employment drug screen and a satisfactory background check are also required.
