The South Carolina Book Festival is sponsoring an 8K Run and 4K Walk to be held Saturday February 21 in Columbia.
Both the run & walk start at the South Carolina State Library at 1500 Senate Street and head eastward to Laurens Street, then right onto Greene Street, right onto Barnwell Street, left onto Pendleton, and right onto Greene Street through the University of South Carolina and the Thomas Cooper Library, and right onto Lower Main Street and back to finish at the South Carolina State Library on Senate Street. The Run is a double 8K loop and the walk is a single 4K loop. This scenic route has slight rolling hills and well manicured terrain through USC’s and Columbia’s library area. Each participant will receive a Run for Books T-shirt.
