Did you know that South Carolina State Library has an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in Libraries online resource guide? Managed by Caroline Smith, the Library's Inclusive Services Consultant, the guide has information and resources on racial equity, accessibility, new Americans, LGBTQ+, collection development, the Library's Inclusive Cervices Center, and the supplemental podcast, BibliObservatory. There is even an EDI word of the month! November's word is Ally - A person of one social identity group who stands up in support of members of another group; typically a member of the dominant group standing beside member(s) of the targeted group; e.g., a male arguing for equal pay for women.
