Library Design Institute to be Held in Greenville

Library Journal, the South Carolina State Library and the Greenville Public Library are proud to announce the next Design Institute to be held this coming November in Greenville, South Carolina.

Whether your library is planning a new building, a redesign to the library's Teen Room or just thinking about future expansion, this is a great opportunity for Library Directors, Board members and key management/extension/facilities staff members to learn about the nuts and bolts of space planning, design issues, service concerns, sustainable building practices and a variety of other topics.

This daylong conference will also feature an optional half day lunch and tour the day before. Registration is free but space is limited so please visit www.libraryjournal.com/designinstitutesc to sign up today!

Attendees will also have the opportunity to present design challenges for sponsoring architects to offer their expertise. This is a great opportunity to have experts in the field present their solutions to your library challenges--big or small. Please visit the web site for all details including how to submit your library's Design Challenge. If you still have questions about the Design Challenge, please contact Denise Lyons at dlyons@statelibrary.sc.gov or 803-734-6061.
