Description: DeVeaux DeLoach's blue-blood father has declared bankruptcy after too many bad business deals, so the DeLoaches must leave their fancy Charleston home for a small country cottage. DeVeaux has to pull out of her posh prep school and take a weekend job. As her father's schemes to recoup his losses come to nothing, he grows steadily more angry. DeVeaux is kept afloat by her Christian faith, a cousin and the youth group leader at her church.
