Quilt Show at the Laurens County Library

The "Loose Threads" is a Clinton based quilt guild. At 7 PM on October 7 they will have a QUILT SHOW in the Large Meeting Room of the Laurens County Library. Included will be demonstrations, make-it & take-it projects for beginners and beautiful quilts made by Laurens County Quilters will be on display!

Quilts mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Think of quilts and one's mind instantly flashes to memories of cold winter nights snuggled in warm fabric, mothers and grandmothers working by hand to make tiny scraps of cloth useful, or even incredible art pieces worthy of museums and galleries. Sometimes they represent cherished antiques passed down from generation to generation. The Loose Threads understand all these thoughts and more. They are a dedicated and talented group who keep quilting alive and active here in Laurens County. On October 7 they will share their love of fabric arts with the public. Active demonstrations on how quilting is done plus beautiful quilts on display will get lots of attention. There will be an area and help for those who want to try quick and easy projects as well! This is shaping up to be a colorful and interesting evening for all involved.

This event is free and open to the public.
