Charleston County Public Library presents Daughters of the Dust by Julie Dash
Come celebrate the importance of reading and explore the rich history of a Gullah family living on a South Carolina sea island through Charleston County Public Library's One Book Charleston County, which runs throughout September.
This community-wide effort is designed to promote literacy, celebrate diversity and recognize the significance of community connections by bringing people together to read and discuss a single book -- Daughters of the Dust, the book and award-winning cult film classic by producer-writer-director Julie Dash.
