Oconee County Public Library to Present Author & Storyteller

The Oconee County Public Library, in conjunction with the Smithsonian's New Harmonies traveling exhibit, is pleased to present Sheila Kay Adams.

New Harmonies is part of Museum on Main Street and is a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and The Humanities CouncilSC.

Sheila Kay Adams, author, storyteller, singer and banjo player, will read excerpts and sing songs from her novel, My Old True Love (Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill, 2004). The novel is set in Madison County, North Carolina during the Civil War.

Ms. Adams is the seventh generation of her family to live in this mountainous area west of Asheville.
