Sign up now! Registration for Read-In 2024, South Carolina's premier Children's Reading Event that lets students show why kids who read succeed, is now open. 

Read-In 2024, a statewide celebration of reading, will be held at the State House in Columbia on Thursday, April 11, 2024. This exciting event provides an opportunity for students, librarians, parents and other literacy supporters to demonstrate the importance of reading and the need for library services in our communities.

Participants will gather at the State Library at 1500 Senate Street between 9:15 am and 9:30 am. The parade to the State House begins promptly at 10:00 am. At the State House there will be a program followed by special entertainment and reading in small groups. The Read-In will end at noon.
