State Library to Offer Free Grants Research Classes

The State Library is pleased to announce three new classes that are free and open to state employees, library staff and the public.

Finding a Funder for Your Nonprofit Organization (March 8, 2011), will help individuals locate information on grants available from private foundations and corporations, using the State Library's electronic and print resources. The Foundation Directory Online, the Foundation Center's grants database, as well as grants-related web sites, will be demonstrated. The class will include basic information on writing a grant proposal.

The State Library is also offering two new classes: Introduction to the Foundation Directory Online will be offered on April 5, 2011 and Proposal Writing Basics will be offered May 18, 2011.
