"Every day, libraries across the state are helping South Carolinians create their own unique stories," says Dr. Curtis R. Rogers, State Library Communications Director. "Whether it is by opening a book and exploring distant lands, or by learning how to use new technologies and web sites like www.WorkSC.org to find a job, people using a library are creating new stories for themselves."
First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April.
Visit the South Carolina State Library at 1430 & 1500 Senate Street in Columbia or visit your local library during National Library Week (April 10-16) and see what your library has to offer.
