Call for PechaKucha-style Panel Presenters

Proposals are now being accepted for PechaKucha-style presentations on the use of technology in information literacy. Presentations should focus on an emerging technology used in teaching information literacy that quickly present the technology and address its advantages and disadvantages.

For those unfamiliar, PechaKucha is a presentation style that consists of showing & discussing 20 slides for 20 seconds each for a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds per presentation. For more information, please visit www.pechakucha.org.

The workshop, iTeach: Information Literacy, is sponsored by the Information Literacy Round Table of the South Carolina Library Association.

Time: 9:30 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m.

If you are interested in participating in this panel discussion, please email Ruth Hodges, SCLA Information Literacy Round Table Chair at rhodges@scsu.edu no later than April 25, 2014 with the following information:

1. Brief description of your use of technology in information literacy.

2. Your name, title, affiliation, and contact information.

The Information Literacy Round Table officers will consider all entries and extend invitations up to seven (7) panelists by May 2, 2014.

We'd love to hear about your innovative instructional experiences using technology and give you the opportunity to share them with your fellow South Carolina Librarians!
