Google Partners with Libraries to Bring Opportunity to Everyone, Everywhere

Libraries are at the heart of Google’s effort to bring skills to job seekers and online savvy to small businesses. Starting in January, the Grow with Google program will provide workshops, library staff training, and ongoing support to libraries in all 50 states. A $1 million sponsorship to the American Library Association will help libraries offer digital skills training.

Veterans Honored with Quilts of Valor

The South Carolina State Library honors veterans with handmade Quilts of Valor to appreciate their service. In partnership with the S.C. Chapter of the Quilts of Valor Foundation, the library will host a rotating exhibit of the handmade quilts created by hundreds of volunteers from the South Carolina chapter of the Quilts of Valor Foundation. Veterans receive these lifetime awards in recognition of their service, sacrifice, and valor.
